Discovery UK’s portfolio of real-life channels attracted record audiences in 2020, alongside the launch of our much anticipated streaming service discovery+ in the last quarter.
Over the festive period our portfolio hit 4.85%, up by 13% year-on-year from 4.30%, with stand-out performances from HGTV, Quest Red, Discovery Channel, ID & Really making it the best December on record.
Meanwhile our share of commercial impacts hit 8.4% in 2020, up by +16% year-on-year from 7.3%. Discovery now reaches 34 million people every month, and with discovery+ users growing double-digit week-on-week, our world-class content is set to reach more Brits than ever before in 2021.
